SLICK

We began our tactical medical product section with the development of the SLICK (Soft Litter Individual Carry Kit). There was an obvious absence of a product to transport a casualty in a hostile environment. The products available at the time were heavy, bulky, or just did not get the job done. The SLICK was developed and tested with the assistance of the medics assigned to the 2/135th INF (Air Assault). The SLICK underwent further testing with the Eau Claire County Sheriff SWAT team and was found to be extremely effective. When I deployed to Iraq the SLICK was utilized and found to be effective in the combat environment.

Tourniquet

We have assisted in the development of an effective tourniquet that will soon be available. We are also going to offer prepackaged Tactical First Aid Kits. There are a number of companies offering similar products. Some of these get the job done. Unfortunately many of these products do not accomplish the intended task.

Our products were developed from real world combat and tactical experience. Our extensive knowledge of tactical and emergency medicine has helped create unique and practical products.

Dr. Aston is residency trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine. He is a graduate of the EMT-Tactical CONTOMS course and the Insights TEMS course. He has served as the Medical Director for a regional SWAT team. Dr. Aston has deployed multiple times with the military to include tours in Kosovo and Iraq.
